Audiovisual Operative

Card information

The Audiovisual Operative card is available for those working in a supervised role or as part of a team in the creative and AV industry to support the build, installation, and maintenance of AV and lighting systems. The person is qualified at a technical Level 2 or above in live events or audiovisual technologies, but has not yet achieved vocational assessments, apprenticeship or equivalent.  

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for the Audiovisual Operative ECS card, applicants must:

1. Have successfully completed a Level 2 or above qualification in Audiovisual or Live Events technologies, such as:   

• Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Sound Engineering
• Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Music Technology
• ABTT Bronze Award Course 
• T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production 

2. Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment. For details visit the ECS H&S Assessment page.
