Creative Industries Production Technician

Card information

A Creative Industries Production Technician is qualified to a level 3, 4 or 5 in setting up, installing, maintaining, and disassembling equipment for live events, indoor performances, and television productions.  

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for the Creative Industries Production Technician ECS card, applicants must:

1. Have successfully completed a relevant Level 3 or above qualification such as: 

• Completed Level 3 Creative Industries Production Technician Apprenticeship Standard 
• Completed Level 3 Camera Prep Technician Apprenticeship Standard 
• Completed Level 4 Assistant Recording Technician Apprenticeship Standard 
• ABTT Bronze Award Course for Theatre Technicians SCQF Level 7
• Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Sound Media
• Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Music Technology
• Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Sound Media
• ABTT Silver Award Course for Sound Technicians SCQF Level 8 
• Level 3 Camera Prep Technician End-Point Assessment
