COSAC Safe2Site Course Recognised as Route to ECS Electrical Labourers Card

23 January 25

The Compliance & Skills Academy (COSAC) Level 1 Health and Safety (H&S) in a Construction Environment is now recognised as a suitable Level 1 route course for professionals seeking to obtain their ECS Electrical Labourers card.

First approved by CSCS as meeting the requisite Level 1 CITB standard, COSAC’s Safe2Site training and courses are delivered through remote invigilation exams to support professionals with career progression and with the obtaining of specific ECS cards.

For individuals who do not hold a JIB-approved electrical theory qualification, they will now be able to complete this course and assessment as an alternative. Individuals are also required to have completed an industry specific ECS Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) assessment or equivalent.

Andy Mason CBE, Director at COSAC, said “COSAC is delighted to be working with ECS to provide a more modern approach for those requiring a Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment qualification to gain their ECS Labourers Card. The COSAC online Safe2Site course is accessible on any device (including mobile phones) increasing flexibility and convenience for all users. This innovative approach allows candidates the opportunity to train, test and certify wherever they are and in their own time, ensuring accessibility without compromising on the high level of rigour required for compliance.”
